Deployments and build stages
Follow a Site deployment from queued work through a ready or failed static release.
Every Site deployment has a status. Open the Site's deployment history in Cloud to review the source, channel, build stage, and result.
Build stages
A repository build can move through these stages:
- Queued or preparing build
- Installing dependencies
- Building
- Collecting and validating static output
- Publishing
- Ready or failed
Prebuilt static files skip the framework build and are validated before publication.
Production and preview
Production and preview deployments are separate channels. A deployment marked Ready has completed publication, while the active production release is the version currently selected for the site.
Failed deployments
A failed deployment does not replace a previous ready production deployment. Read the Cloud failure guidance, correct the source or configuration, and create a new deployment.
